Dr. Tan’s teaching of immediate results achieved by the correct application of acupuncture therapy.
Chinese medicine is the oldest, continually practiced, literate medicine in the world. This medical system’s written literature stretches back over 3000 years. It is as effective today as it has been for half the word’s population for millennia.
Chinese medicine is a complete helathcare system based on principles of Qi and Meridians. Life-force energy or Qi transmits vital information throughout the body. This river of information / energy is influenced by stimulating points along meridian pathways. Acupuncture enhances and restores free flow of Qi to regulate and rejuvenate good health.
Dis-ease is disruption of the transmission of vital information within the body politic, caused by blockage/stagnation or deficiency of Qi. This disruption can be rectified by acupuncture therapy, Chinese herbal therapy, QiGong or TaiJi exercise, nutritional and lifestyle adjustments in accordance with Chinese medicine principles.
All modalities within Chinese Medicine influence meridian systems and Qi/Blood flow to maximize health.
“Where there is free flow there is no pain; Where there is pain there is no free flow.” Chinese Medicine Proverb
Qi moves blood and directs organ function. Stagnation or blockage of Qi disturbs vital blood flow. When Qi is blocked, life-giving blood flow is blocked and the body no longer receives the information contained within the energy to direct the function of the internal organs. When this energy, blood and information flow is disrupted, organ systems no longer function properly and health declines.
Health is restored by Qi stimulation at specific acupuncture points (acupoints) along specific meridian pathways elliciting therapeutic action of that acupoint and balancing meridian(s).
Unrelenting stress triggers an unhealthy continuous responsse of “fight-or-flight” that in turn prevents FREE FLOW of Qi. Normal internal organ function is chemically altered in fight-or-flight state. Prolonged stress mode or chronic Qi blockage eventually manifests illness, both physical and emotional. Pain and ill health are a result of Qi stagnation and Qi deficiency. Stimulating acupoints corrects Qi problems.
Chinese medicine heals body, mind and spirit.
Acupuncture properly applied induces a deep sense of relaxation, relieves pain and strengthens immunity by harmonizing all internal systems’ energy and blood flow.
Acupuncture promotes healing while perpetual “fight-or flight” stress mode is modulated. Only when the body is in relaxation mode can healing begin. Relaxation and recuperation are restored by acupuncture therapy.
When Qi and Blood are abundant and free-flowing, there is less pain, organ systems and emotions are balanced and mind is focused and motivated. Disharmonies that have been caused by blockage or deficiency are healed and negative stress symptoms are alleviated by the proper application of acupuncture therapy.
“Where there is free flow there is no pain; Where there is pain there is no free flow.” Chinese Proverb
By stimulating points along the meridians with acupuncture needles, heat, manual manipulation or acupressure, the proper flow of Qi, blood and information returns and health is restored and rejuvenated.
Consistent acupuncture treatment will help restore health and balance all biological systems and emotional levels within the human experience.
Acupuncture rejuvenates and promotes harmonious communication between all cells, tissues, glands and organs. Acupoints along meridian pathways are gateways allowing and encouraging a maximum amount of Qi to flow freely.
Acupuncture strengthens immunity, restores internal organ function and rejuvenates, promoting a deep sense of well-being.
